Rijeka, 29 November 2025 – This morning, Saturday 29th at 09:30 am, the vessel Zhen Hua 25 successfully berthed at Adriatic Gate Container Terminal (AGCT), delivering two new quay cranes that represent a major investment in the modernization and expansion of the terminal’s handling capacity.
The vessel departed from Shanghai on 25 September 2025 and, after covering more than 16,100 nautical miles, arrived in the port of Rijeka.
Over the coming days, the cranes will undergo unloading, commissioning and technical testing, with full operational deployment expected by the end of the year.
The cranes were manufactured by ZPMC, the world’s leading producer of container handling equipment. They represent the latest generation of Super Post Panamax quay cranes, specifically engineered to meet AGCT’s operational requirements, including custom load-bearing adjustments. These units are also the first prototypes of this new series.
This new equipment will enable AGCT to handle the largest container vessels operating in today’s global fleet.
AGCT continues to invest in modern equipment to support the further development of the terminal and strengthen the competitiveness of the Rijeka transport route.
