CMA CGM – Short Sea Lines Division recently announced the restructuring of their ADRINAF service to Rijeka by integrating it with TMX3, resulting in the creation of a new route connecting the Adriatic, Turkey, Malta, and Libya. Starting in mid-January, a sustainable maritime link has been established between Rijeka and the North Turkey region.

The Turkey Med Express 3 (TMX3) regular weekly service is maintained with a fleet of four vessels, each with a nominal capacity of 1,300 TEU.

The rotation of the service includes the following ports:

IZMIR – GEBZE – GEMLIK – MALTA – ANCONA – RIJEKA – TRIESTE – VENEZIA – KOPER – BAR – TARANTO – MALTA – TRIPOLI

Rijeka serves as the first port of call in the North Adriatic, providing competitive transit times of just 10 days for imports from Turkey. This not only benefits Croatia but also serves all the Central and Southeast European markets utilizing Rijeka as a gateway.

The service offers a five-day transit time for imports and a seven-day transit time for exports to/from the Med Hub Malta. This results in expanded port coverage and competitive transit times, complemented by various worldwide direct and Mediterranean feedering services. Fully operated by CMA CGM, the service presents a sustainable alternative to truck transportation, optimizing lead time, frequency, and costs while enhancing intermodal connectivity across Western/Central Europe through AGCT.
