Today at 3 AM the largest vessel in the history of port of Rijeka berthed at AGCT - m/v CMA CGM CENDRILLON, 334 m long and with capacity of 8 500 TEU

CMA CGM Cendrillon belongs to the French shipping giant CMA CGM. This impressive container vessel is employed in a direct container liner service linking Asia and Northern Adriatic ports. This weekly service is jointly run by shipping companies CMA CGM and Maersk Line with a total of 10 vessels (5 per line interchanging). So far the largest vessels in this service were 320 m (6000 TEU) but now CMA CGM has increased the size of it’s vessels from 300 m to the current 334 m (8,500 TEU).

This direct weekly service is connecting Asian ports with ports of the northern Adriatic, in the following rotation: SHANGHAI – BUSAN – CHIWAN – HONG KONG – TANJUG PELEPES – PORT SAID – BEIRUT – TRIESTE – KOPER – RIJEKA – PORT SAID – JEDDAH – PORT KELANG – SINGAPORE – SHANGHAI

This increase in capacity can be seen as a transition period before the start of the P3 alliance – a joint service of CMA CGM, Maersk Line and MSC, which is planned to start calling in Rijeka during the second half of 2014.
