We would like to inform you that in the morning hours of 10 October 2026, a freight train carrying grain derailed at the entrance to Meja railway station, while on its way to the Port of Rijeka.

With this, all freight and passenger rail traffic on the Plase – Meja – Škrljevo section has been temporarily suspended.
Intensive work is currently underway to restore rail traffic, with initial estimates indicating that the line may open later in this week.
In the meantime, please be informed that AGCT operations - including vessel and gates operations - continue without any disruption.
Once rail traffic resumes, AGCT will allocate all available resources in order to clear the resulting backlog as quickly as possible.
We will inform you as soon as we receive official confirmation regarding the reopening of the railway section, therefore resumption of immediate train acceptance at AGCT.
