Over the past four days, Adriatic Gate Container Terminal (AGCT) has successfully carried out a series of key operations related to the arrival and discharge of two new ship-to-shore cranes, marking another important step in the terminal’s ongoing modernization and capacity expansion.

On Saturday, 29 November 2025, AGCT safely welcomed and berthed the specialized vessel Zhen Hua 25, transporting the new cranes manufactured by ZPMC. Following berthing, AGCT teams completed all necessary preparatory activities, and the cranes were successfully discharged – one per day – with a high level of precision and excellent coordination across all operational units.

Throughout the crane discharge operations, AGCT maintained uninterrupted regular terminal activities, including the handling of CMA CGM Helium, which calls at Rijeka as part of the Ocean Alliance’s weekly Far East–Suez service.

The arrival of the new Super Post Panamax cranes represents a significant investment in enhancing the terminal’s efficiency and capabilities, enabling AGCT to serve the largest container vessels operating in the global fleet.

AGCT remains committed to investing in modern equipment and infrastructure to further strengthen the competitiveness of the Port of Rijeka and its position along key international transport routes.
