Roll-on/roll-off Ramp

AGCT is also equipped with a RORO ramp, enabling us to handle vessels that are designed to carry cargo (automobiles, trucks, semi-trailer trucks, trailers and railroad cars) which can be driven on and off the vessel using their own wheels. . .

BIP station

The presence of the BIP (Border Inspection Point) at the terminal enables AGCT to be the first port of call and entry point for all the cargo or vegetative or animal origin intended for human consumption. This kind of cargo needs to be checked and cleared by the proper authorities - Veterinary and Phytosanitary inspectors.

AGCT is glad to assist its clients with these inspections.

East gate

The “new” entrance point to the Terminal. The “go-live” is planned for January 2014, when East Gate will be used as entrance/exit point for all trucks, while the “old”, West Gate will continue to be used as entrance/exit point for employees and visitors.

The East Gate is directly connected to the highway, enabling us to annul the effect of truck traffic through the city center. Additionally, through this gate AGCT is directly connected with both highway and rail, to the off dock (inland) terminal “Škrljevo”, located only 7 km away (10 minutes) and run by Luka Rijeka.

At the East Gate there is also the administration building where all the Authorities (Customs, Maritime Police) and some forwarders are located with their offices.

Customs Inspection Area

A covered area used by the Customs Authorities for inspection of goods when required. It is also equipped with a mobile scanner allowing fast inspections of containers while on trailers, without the need for their stripping.

Reefer yard

Part of the yard specially allocated for storage of reefer containers. It is equipped with power boxes using standard plugins for reefer containers. AGCT has integrated a special IT system allowing us to constantly monitor the temperature level with special warning system should there be any sudden changes, insuring complete control and quality of this service.

AGCT is equipped with 168 nominal reefer plugs, with possibility to expand to additional 250 outlets upon request (all together 418 reefer plugs capacity).

Intermodal Yard

Part of the yard specially allocated for handling of containers on rail. This part is currently in development and heavy investments – RMG’s (Rail Mounted Gantries) have arrived in May 2013, have been installed, tested and parked while upgrading of the yard is on-going. Currently we are using one rail track and handling containers using Reach stackers, but by the end of 2014, when the development of the yard is finalized, we will be operating on 4 rail tracks under 2 RMG’s giving us annual capacity of 360,000 TEU.

AGCT’s Intermodal yard is supported by a rail station (of additional 8 tracks) designed exclusively to cater the needs of the container terminal.

Using adequate services AGCT made sure that the terminal services stay uninterrupted during the upgrade of the Intermodal yard.

Warehouse

It is a 2 stores high building called in the port of Rijeka as “Warehouse 46”. One part of the ground floor is used by the HSSE Department for office and Engineering Department for indoor repairs, offices and supplies.

The rest, including the 1st floor is used as warehouse (CFS). AGCT has 1.5 ha available for Container Freight Station.

The second floor is used as headquarters of the Company and all the administrative offices are situated there.

West gate

The “old” entrance point to the Terminal. Once the East Gate is opened, it will only be used for employees and visitors entrance.
